Apr. 14th, 2006 02:09 pmYes I'm well aware that I've been a terrible poster lately!! I stayed home from work again yesterday to give my stomach one more day to heal. I went easy on it up until dinner when I ate a normal meal and it sat fine. Yay!! I'm eating normally again today too, so I think I'm better now! :D

sunshineyjen came over yesterday afternoon and spent the night. I made her dinner and then while I was baking a cake for dessert, we played Settler's of Catan. The cake turned out awesome and after a slice of that we went outside and had our first campfire of the year. It was awesome! The weather was perfect for sitting in front of a warm fire and there were absolutely no bugs! The only thing we had to contend with were some damn nosiy frogs! It's frog mating season and the noise they're making is just insane! You learn to tune it out though.
This morning we slept in a bit and woke up to Jody calling from Nunavut. Dan and Jen chatted with him and then we had a bit of breakfast. We spent the rest of the morning just chatting and hanging out. Jen also helped us to pick some paint colours for the basement. I officially suck at picking paint colours and Jen helped me to pick the colour for the spare bedroom downstairs and it turned out absolutely perfectly! So far we've decided on colours for the stairway/landing and the rec room. I love them!! Jen left around 12:30 to go to Bowmanville to visit her parents for the rest of the weekend.
Now, Dan's downstairs working on making some shipping crates for my work and I'm just taking a quick break before I start a deep clean of our bedroom. It's beyond overdue for one of those and I'll likely swap our closet from Winter to Spring/Summer while I'm at it. Our bedroom has looked like a bomb went off in there for months now, and I hate it. Julie & Jeremy might come over tonight for a campfire once Julie is done at work.
The rest of the weekend is going to be pretty much more of the same. Tomorrow morning Dan and I will run some errands, we need to go to the dump/recycling and we both need haircuts as well as some groceries. The rest of our plans for the weekend just include taking it easy and getting some work done around the house. Yay!
