Dan rocks!!! :D I helped put up the boarder, but that's about all I can take credit for down there. sunshineyjen picked out the colours with my vague desciptions. The rec room still needs two more coats of flat, it's too shiny. The stuff for the ceiling is all in the middle of the room in the one picture, so it will be going up next.
We're going on Saturday to order our fireplace and then to Whitby to look at and most likely order our couch as well. Yay!!!

It looks amazing! I can't believe the change! I totally felt like I was watching a home renovation tv show or something! ;) I'm glad the colours turned out so well and man, putting up a ceiling and putting down the floor will make SUCH a huge difference!
Make sure that you share pictures of the fireplace and the potential couch after the weekend! :D

I totally will share them. These are pretty exciting times for the basement!!!
Dan was saying yesterday that once the bedroom downstairs is done, it will be the first room in the house to be completely 100% done in terms of closet doors, trim, flooring etc. Funny, eh?

Looks awesome!! We're about to make improvements to our house. We got a Home Equity Line of Credit to redo the floors, paint, and who knows what else!

My first thought was, "Tracey! You picked colors that aren't off-white! I'm so proud of you!" The yellow is crazy-bright on my monitor, but I bet that has to do with the time of day the pictures were taken and that it looks a lot nicer in person :)

Dan is amazingly talented.

And that sweater looks so good on you! Whatever it is you're doing to make your life more healthy it's totally working. You look fantastic!

You mentioned something over in _marriedlife_ about wanting some new friends. It seems we have some similar interests and I always enjoy adding new friends. I post at least 2-3 times a week, sometimes that many times daily. I have recently put everything to friends only, so the only things viewable on my journal (unless you friend me) are my f/o banner and some quizzes. I post quizzes from time to time, but I usually post with more substance. I have two boys, Matthew (7) and Anthony (4) that I post about often. I also post about married life and my husband, Kevin (38). It would be great if you friended me. I've already got you added. :)
