Sep. 15th, 2004 08:29 pmDinner was great tonight. Especially considering the minimal effort I put into it!
After dinner, we headed into Peterbrough. We went to Zellers first where I picked up some cold medication and a thermos so I can take soup for my lunch tomorrow (no microwave at work). Dan looked for an anniversary gift for me and I looked for one for him, but neither of us had any luck. I dropped him off at the car rental place so he could pick up his van for tomorrow and then I decided to hit Chapters quickly. I totally scored there!! I got him one book called "The Introspective Engineer". I hope he likes it, I thought it looked good...but what do I know? I got another that's the biography of the former CEO of GE. Dan's been eyeing this book for years and I saw it on the clearance rack today. Regularly $37 for $7.99, I'm so stoked!! :) I think I'll give him the book I'm not so sure about for our anniversary, because then if he doesn't like it we can return it. He'll get the other for his birthday October 11th. I think maybe I'll get him a DVD and something else to go with it.
Despite feeling crappy and work crap going on in my life, I had an amazingly good evening! I'm in a great mood which I'm sure will get wrecked tomorrow. :P
