Happy Birthday
(no subject)
Feb. 15th, 2005 12:18 pmWow...looking back on the amount of voice I had yesterday makes it look like I could talk normally compared to what I have today. I had to give answering the phones away today. I just cannot be understood today let alone sound professional.
This has left me pretty bored, since answering the phones is quite a large part of my day...
Valentine's Day yesterday was fine. We weren't making any kind of an event about it and it was just a nice relaxing evening. I brought home a chicken dinner from the grocery store complete with taters and potato and macaroni salad. It was everything I'd hoped it would be. We exchanged gifts after dinner. Dan loved his frying pan with a lid and I got a variety of goodies including: Valentine's Jellybeans (for when I'm feeling better), A Valentine's magnetic pad for the fridge, A heart photo frame for the picture we had taken on the weekend, and some heart cookie cutters for next year. Yay! :)
We spent the evening on the couch watching TV and playing XBox.
I talked to my parents last night. They left our house yesterday to drive down to Florida for a three week vacation. They bought a new cell phone in Windsor that they can use while they're in the United States. It came in handy already as they had just crossed the border into Detroit and they missed their Interstate ramp and wound up in some sketchy neighbourhood. They stopped because a car in front of them was parallel parking and they were promptly rear ended by the car behind them. No major damage was done, just a few scratches to the bumper and a cracked trailer hitch cover and they were back on their way. They drove as far as mid-Ohio last night and stayed there. So the trip's not off to an amazing start...hopefully they have better luck from here on out!!
