So my weekend wound up being a lot less fun than I'd thought it was going to be. I wound up staying home all weekend and nursing the cold that hit me on Friday morning. :(
I went home from work and slept about 4 hours on Friday afternoon. Got up around 6pm to eat dinner, watch half of a movie and then back to bed at 9pm for another 12 hours of sleep. I'd thought I would wake up Saturday morning feeling well enough to go, but I didn't. I woke up feeling like someone had stuffed my brain with cotton balls and every time I tried to stand up I felt light headed and woozy. Not the best idea to get in a car and drive 3.5 hours...so sadly I called Jen and left a message that I wouldn't be joining them for the bridesmaid weekend extravaganza.

I spent the rest of the day basically just taking it easy. I emailed back and forth with Jen a couple times so I still felt like part of the weekend. I watched some TV and read a bunch and slept a bit in the afternoon. Dan helped me to make a lasagna for dinner, but I wasn't really hungry so I just had a small corner of that, watched the other half of the movie from Friday night (Braveheart) and went to bed early again. With the help of NyQuil I slept another full 12 hours Saturday night and woke up feeling a lot more like myself on Sunday. I took it easy on Sunday morning, more relaxing and reading and TV. Dan's family was supposed to come over on Sunday afternoon just to use the canoe and stuff and I was planning to hole myself up in the bedroom and read while they were there. They called just before noon and we let them know it was raining at our place, so they cancelled and Dan and I decided to run some easy errands in town just to get me out of the house for a bit.

So we drove into town where Dan returned some stuff at Home Depot and we looked around at tiles some more. Dan decided over the weekend that instead of putting laminate flooring on the landing of the basement, he's going to use the same tile he's using for the woodstove hearth on the landing as well. I liked that idea too because I was afraid the tile for the hearth would look out of place, and this will help to tie the whole look together. It will be a bit colder on the feet than laminate, but that's what area rugs and runners are for, right? I think it will look really nice. We're going to buy enough to continue it into the laundry room too, although that won't get done this year. Dan said he'd run a few tiles into the entrance of the laundry room though, so that when the door is closed it does look finished as far in as you can see.

At Home Depot we were looking for a matching edging strip for the tile we chose. No luck there, so we decided to go to Rona to look. We must have spent an hour looking between the two stores and we decided we'd just use a wooden joining strip between the carpet and the tile. There was nothing that matched nicely that would cost us under like $100! So we bought all of the tiles, grout and other supplies Dan will need to put in the tiles at Rona.

We also looked at French Doors at Home Depot, we want to put those on the entrance to the rec room in the basement. We found them there cheap for about $80 each, that's just for the finger joint pine, we're planning to paint them anyway so that's a good deal. We were going to look at Rona too for doors, but just typing this now reminded me that we forgot to do that. Maybe we'll do it before we go home tonight. I just emailed Dan to ask him.

We also went to Canadian Tire to look at a ceiling fan that was on 1/2 price for the basement downstairs, but the only colour on sale was a black/chrome model and that's not going to match very well in the yellow sunflower spare bedroom downstairs, so we decided to wait. It's not urgent anyway. We also looked at a really small bar fridge they had on at Canadian Tire and figured that's probably what we'll buy. It's even smaller than a standard bar fridge but it will be perfect for holding a bunch of cans or a few bottles of pop/juice in the room downstairs. We want the extra small one so that there is still enough room to plumb in a sink above it to make it a wet bar in the rec room. Just a tiny one, but big enough for the little fridge, little sink, a microwave and probably a kettle so we can have everything we need for movie night without having to go up and down the stairs all the time. Yay!!

We also got groceries. I have nothing really exciting to say about that. ;) We made an easy dinner last night of beef fajitas and we watched Road Trip before bed. We were both in the mood for a pretty brainless movie and that fit the bill.

So there's my weekend for you. Not the fun I was looking for, but I'm feeling great today thanks to all the resting and relaxing I did. I think Saturday was as bad as this cold is going to get, and with the help of the vitamins/supplements the naturopath prescribed me last time I had a cold, I think I took enough of it early enough that it just entirely headed the cold off in combination with my efforts. That's pretty exciting stuff!!

My plan now is to drive to Ottawa this weekend instead. I'll leave Friday after work and spend all day Saturday with Jen. I'll leave on Saturday after dinner to come home, because Dan has a frisbee tournament all day on Sunday and we need to leave the house by about 8:00am. I'll pick up my bridesmaid dress this weekend and even though I won't be there with the rest of the bridesmaids it will still be fun!!

It was a busy but great weekend. I'm tired today, but it was worth it!

I'm so excited for this weekend to get started, you have no idea! (Okay, maybe Jen has some idea...)

My mom will be picking me up from work in a little under 45 minutes. Yay summer hours!! Then we can start our afternoon shopping extravaganza, the highlight of which will be looking for a dress for her to wear to Jody & Jen's wedding. I think I'm looking forward to that part more than she is. Hehe. I'm not sure how long it will take us, but it doesn't really matter. We don't have anything else planned for this afternoon/this evening, that's the main goal!

If we don't find anything we like, we still have tomorrow morning to look as well. Jen's first shower doesn't start until 3:30 in Oakville so we can shop up until then in Toronto if need be. I'm looking forward to Jen's shower tomorrow as well, it's family friends of hers that I've heard a lot about, so it will be nice to get the opportunity to meet them as well as have a party in Jen's honour!

Sunday morning my mom and I have a few things to do at home, and then we'll be heading to Bowmanville mid-morning to pick up a few things there and start setting up the room for Jen's shower thrown by me! :D We will start decorating at 12:00 and Jen will arrive at 12:45. Guests are to arrive at 1:00 and the shower will be getting underway from there! Hooray!!!

I promise lots of pictures this weekend, and I'll be unfiltering Jen's shower post after the shower on Sunday so she can get in and read it. Then I can move on and start planning her bachelorette party, my speech and other wedding related goodness in similarily filtered posts. Yay Future Sister-In-Law!! :D

I had a pretty good weekend. We had our yard sale on Saturday and we managed to get rid of a ton of crap and make a few bucks while we were at it! We brought two car loads of stuff to Julie & Jeremy's for the yard sale and wound up only needing to take 3 boxes to Value Village to donate at the end of the day. Plus, there's the added bonus of all of that crap not being in our basement any longer!

After the yard sale we stopped at a furniture store on our way home to have a look at sofas for our rec room downstairs. We would like a nice new sectional corner unit and we'd seen some nice ones for sale in the flyer this week. We fell in love with one that was in the show room but it was opposite of what we needed. Everywhere else we've been they've been able to mirror the layout of the sofa, but not in this case. :( So I guess we'll keep looking. We want to pick a furniture store in the area each night this week and check to see what's available where. We know we can get exactly what we want at Bad Boy in Whitby, but we thought it would be nice (plus save on delivery charges) to get something local.

We got home and were planning to just veg for the evening. We were both in our around home pants. Dan was dozing on the couch and I was searching for zucchini recipes online when the doorbell rang. I answered and it was one of our neighbours from the cottages across the road asking what the dial number was for the local radio station and then he invited Dan and I over for some drinks on their back porch. We got dressed again and headed over there for a couple of hours. I was sunburned from earlier in the day, so I didn't feel like drinking (which they thought was really strange...people seem to have a problem when I don't want to drink and I don't understand that. I just wanted water or a pop and they kept trying to force alcohol on me...WTF??). We got to know them a bit better anyway and then we came home and went to bed.

On Sunday we had a neighbourhood meeting to talk about the condition of our road. It's the neighbourhood's responsibility to keep it in good condition, since we're a private road. So we pay money each year and patch up the road. We almost have enough to re-surface it, so we'll just be doing a light patch this year and the re-surfacing next year. Sunday afternoon I cooked up a big zucchini casserole for us to eat this week since the first of the zucchini were ready from the garden. Later on Dan's parents and the youngest, Jimmy (11) came over to use the canoe and go swimming. They brought some cabbage rolls with them for dinner and I added a salad and threw together some tea biscuits. They left around 7:00 so Dan and I played our two player Settler's of Catan card game (where I won again...I'm two games up on Dan now in total) and then we went outside and had a dusk campfire. Neither of us felt like vegging in front of the TV, and there are a ton of wood scraps in the shed that need to be burned up, so we burned up a box of those while chatting outside. We had some good conversations about money and future plans including our honeymoon and having kids. So that was really nice!!

Today at work has been okay. I'm working an extra half hour each day this week so I can leave at noon on Friday. It's our department's summer hours, so that means I have to be here at 7:30am. Not a big deal, I got up 10 minutes earlier than usual, hurried and then Dan drove me instead of me driving him which is how it normally works. The longer days are a bit tough right now, but I know I'll appreciate it come Friday at noon when I can leave!!!

After work Dan and I are going grocery shopping and then having leftovers for dinner. Dan was going to mow the lawn tonight, but we've been having thunder storms all afternoon, so maybe I can convince him to play Settler's with me instead!!! :D

My Weekend

So after going away for the weekend all the time, I always feel really obligated to post the details of my weekend. This time I don't feel like it, so I'm not going to.
mrs_ladybird: (Default)
I'm back, I'm back!
I hate always disappearing for the weekend!
Let's just say that what I estimated for the weekend on Friday pretty much happened and leave it at that. Nothing too exciting. Oh, except that Dan got my computer fixed, so I can now be online from the comfort of my own air conditioned bedroom and don't have to borrow my roomie's computer any longer. My hard drive had crashed, so I now have a new one, but I have to go back and re-set up everything again, so that's a bit of a pain.

Today was Jury Duty...it was very interesting. I'll spare you the suspense and tell you now that I wasn't selected. The selection process was nothing like I thought though.
Okay, I had to be at the court house for 9:00 this morning. Meant I got to sleep in, so that was exciting!! Waited in line, had my paperwork checked, etc. Then we all sat in the gallery area and were addressed by the Jury Clerk. Told us the general rules: no food or drink, no gum, not hats, no cell phones/pagers, etc. Then he showed us a video on the Jury System in Canada, who sits where/does what, etc. Then the judge entered, and went through all the reasons people might have for not serving on a Jury: undue hardship, medical reasons, etc. and dismissed about 20 people in the process. Then, the clerk put the remaining 80 or so names in a barrel and drew out 20 at random. I wasn't one of them. From there, the people faced the Defendant and two lawyers and the lawyers both had the opportunity to be "content" or to "challenge". They didn't have to give reasoning for either decision, but if either judge "challenged" that prospective juror was automatically dismissed. The whole process took about 2 hours.
When I left the court house, I was told to return next Tuesday (since Monday is a holiday) unless I heard otherwise, so I was kind of excited...still a chance. But by the time I got home tonight, there was already a message on my phone saying there would be no trials next week and I am dismissed from Jury Duty. Oh well. C'est la vie.

Oh yeah, and the wedding shoes I ordered came in on the weekend. They don't fit, so I returned them and the hunt is still on.

Dinner time!
mrs_ladybird: (Default)
Um...okay, so I lied.
I am around to post. Just a short one though.
Dan's just getting in the shower and I'm almost ready. He was busy playing Warcraft III while I was getting ready, so I'm ahead of schedule now. Even got my skirt ironed and everything!
My parents are picking us up at Yorkdale on the way though so we don't have to rack up miles on Dan's car. Plus, their air conditioning is better, and it will be nice to all talk together in the car. Aside from that though, I really don't know what to expect from the afternoon. Apparently my dad doesn't either though. I asked him what time they'd be returning us to Yorkdale and he said around 10pm. That seems so early! He and his brothers usually like to stay up late and talk, and being back for 10 means we'd have to leave there by 9 at the latest. We'll see. We're going to be parking in front of the theatre so that even if we are late getting back, our car has a reason to be there and we'll be less likely to get a ticket.

Jody called me this morning. He had my/his car taken in for certification finally. The only things it needed were the reverse light was burnt out, and so was the rear license plate light. No big deal at all!! I'm so glad that the little "accident" he was in didn't cause any harm to the certification. I also told him to go and pick up the papers for the transfer of ownership. So hopefully he'll pay me today...finally!! I only gave him the car like a month and a half ago!!!

Anyway, that's all for now I guess. I'll try and send out a few more packages early next week. I sent out two on Friday, and I just need a couple more items to finish out the rest of them. This is so much fun!! :)

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Not that it's a big surprise, but I won't be posting tomorrow.
Got that family reunion to go to and we probably won't be home until late (if I know my dad's side of the family at all...)
See you Sunday (maybe...)

I'm Home!

And I'm tired.
And a little pink from the sun.

Had a good weekend though. Not as good as in previous years, but I think that maybe has something to do with the company. It's not really a weekend away with friends when you go away with the people you live with. It would have been nice to have some different company, but no one else was available this weekend.
Anyway, here goes.
Robin was actually on time picking us up and we got on the road right when we said we would. We stopped and picked up Dan about an hour into the trip (he was at home) and we were on our way. We got into the town nearest the cottage and picked up some munchies and some breakfast food. Then we stopped at a local pub for some dinner and headed to the cottage to settle in.
We got some drinks and went down to the porch by the lake and had a relaxing Friday night. We went to bed fairly early though since we wanted to get up and going again on Saturday morning.
Got up early enough (like 9) had our showers and some cereal and it started to rain. Crappy weather. We had planned to go to the beach. So we settled for going and picking up our groceries for a bbq and seeing the sights from the car window instead.
When we got back to the cottage the weather had improved a little, it was still really overcast and humid, but we managed a game of frisbee outside and some wading in the lake before dinner.
Cooked up an awesome bbq of lamb, steak, and turkey souvlaki for me. We also had some grilled veggies and some garlic bread. Baked up some cookies for dessert.

Slept in until about 10:00 and then got up and made a nice brunch with omelettes and bacon and hash browns. Then we set to cleaning up the cottage. The weather was finally nice (isn't that always the way?) So we decided to stop at the beach on our way home.
We set up camp in the shade and played frisbee for a while. We went to go and wade in the water, but there was all this green sludge and floating dead little fish along the shore (Hey, it is Lake Ontario), so we decided against the water. It couldn't have been that bad, because there were people in there...but not for me. We had a little picnic with the leftovers from dinner last night and played some more frisbee. I sat in the shade for the most part with my legs in the sun trying to get some colour on them. I didn't get any there, but I guess my one shoulder was in the sun because I got a lot on there. Oh well.

And now I'm home.
We got out of the car and it was like walking into a wall with the heat. I came right in and turned on my AC and I think Mike & Kim are going to go back to Kim's Air Conditioned apartment later on to sleep. That would be nice. After being in close quarters with people all weekend, I could use some privacy for the evening. :)

I actually had a really productive day today! Most of my weekends are productive. What's up with that?
I'll finish up yesterday first though.
Went to the Chiropractor, got Dan a hair cut and the oil changed on his car. He also go an engine shampoo too, I was thoroughly disappointed by the process though. I had pictured lots of foam and pretty smelling soap. Turns out they spray your engine with a heavy duty de-greaser then scrub it with dish brushes then hose it off and spray on some kind of sealant. His car still stinks to high hell whenever we turn the vent on. What a let-down! :)
We also did a bit of shopping. I went to Chapter's and bought my dad some new local map books and a card. He loved them! They're always going for motorcycle rides to remote areas and maps come in really handy. I got them one of the area we live in now, as well as the area they're planning to move to. Handy stuff.
Then we came back into Toronto and started getting BBQ stuff ready. We had Robin over for dinner. It was really nice to see him again! We had a great evening.
Went to bed late and got up late this morning. It rocked! :)
We got up and just vegged in front of the Dreamcast for a while before showering and heading out to do our laundry. The weather was nuts today! We went into the laundry mat and it was sunny and by the time we put our laundry in and went to go next door to get some groceries it was pouring rain! So we got our groceries and put them in the car and it was sunny. Went into flip the laundry from the washer to the dryer before walking to the dollar store and it was pouring again. We stayed in the dollar store until it stopped raining and then I went back to check on the laundry. Craziness!!
So we took the laundry and the groceries home and I called my mom to see if she wanted to go shopping. I was in desperate need of a new pair of sandals since it's getting too hot to wear pantyhose to work every day! I got these sandals:

These Sandals
I totally love them!! I've been trying to find a pair like them for years. I probably spent too much money ($125) but I don't care. They're really high quality so I'll be wearing them for years. Yay sandals!
Then I took the Go Train home and am chilling (literally...did you know it's supposed to go down to 10C tonight??). Going to call Dan soon and see how his afternoon was.

Last Night

mrs_ladybird: (Default)
Last night I got home from work and was making some dinner for Dan. He was on his way from work and running a bit late because of traffic (I heard on the radio).
He had just walked in the door and I was putting the lasagna in the oven when the phone rang. It was some old friends of ours from high school that I had talked to earlier in the week. They wanted us to come over and hang out at their place for a while and then go out to the movies with them later on. Great! :)
So we went over and hung out and chatted and caught up for a while before heading out to see the Bourne Identity. I had no idea what the movie was even about going into it, so I was really impressed. There are still a few things about the ending that I didn't understand, but I'm sure Dan will straighten me out today.

This morning we're heading back to Ajax to run a bunch of errands. I have a chiropractor's appointment this morning, Dan need a hair cut and to get the oil changed on his car. Then we're going to go to Canadian Tire to get some map books for my dad for Father's Day. We also have an appointment to go and see our potential caterer, that should be exciting! We have a few other misc.. things we need to do as well, but I can't remember them right now. I'll update again this evening when I've remembered. :P

My Pet Rock

(Dan thought up that title)
So much to say.
Guess I'll start Friday where I last left off.
I left work at 2:00 to go and catch the VIA train. I was still pretty calm at this point though. It's a good thing I left work early though, it was a long wait to pick up my ticket then it was first come first serve for window seats on the train, so it was good. I got one. The train ride was nice. I had planned to read, but found I couldn't concentrate, so I just listened to music and looked out the window instead.
Dan picked me up right on time at the train station and we drove to get some dinner at Denny's. While at dinner he asked me if I wanted to wait until our surprise to get engaged or if I wanted to do it before hand. He thought maybe he wouldn't be able to do it during our surprise. I didn't really understand what he was talking about, so he decided to tell me what the surprise was so I could decide for myself. My surprise was a Thousand Island's Dinner Cruise. The reason he might not be able to ask me on the boat was that we couldn't be guaranteed a table to ourselves and they might have to put people beside us and that would be a little too "in your face" and impersonal. We're more private than that. So I said I'd be willing to take the chance we'd get our own table and if not he could do it afterwards, and he liked that plan.
We checked in to the hotel and vegged for a while before heading out to get a few things we had forgotten. Isn't that always the way? Then we went back and vegged some more and went to bed early. It had been a long stressful week for both of us.
We got up early Saturday morning and ordered some breakfast in bed. Then we showered and left because we wanted to get out of the room before the maid came. We didn't want to be in the room when she arrived, but we wanted our bed re-made and some new soap and shampoo! :)
So we went and decided to take a drive around town and see some of the sights. We wound up doing a little more shopping at Wal-Mart and Zellers. We both got new sandals for this summer as well as some other little things here and there.
Then we picked up some lunch stuff at the grocery store and went back to our hotel for a little picnic on our balcony for lunch. Then we watched some TV and had a nap until it was time to get ready to go. I had a shower and put on my dress and we left for Kingston.
We got there a little early which was good. We went inside and picked up our tickets and a postcard of the boat. Then we got in line for boarding because we weren't sure it the seating on the boat was first come first serve or not. It wasn't. They had a table reserved for us and we were all alone. Perfect.
So the cruise started and it was a little rough. It was really windy on Saturday and the waters were kind of choppy until we got out of the bay and into the more sheltered area with the islands.
We ordered some drinks and listened to the tour guide, but all the wait staff were staring at me constantly! Then they came around and took our dinner orders and we saw some more sights. They brought out our dinner and I could see that Dan was starting to get really nervous, so I reassured him that when he decided to ask, I would say yes.
So we finished dinner and had ordered our dessert when he started to look nervous again. I tried to give him a nice calming look and he brought out the ring. I can't remember exactly what he said because as soon as he reached for his pocket and said "well" I started to cry. What I remember is this:
"Well, I know I'm not perfect, but I'd like to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" And he opened the ring box and put it on my finger and I said yes. I was in full blown crying mode at this point and he was a little misty as well. We decided to go out on the deck of the boat so we could be alone and talk a little. It was so cold out there though that we only lasted long enough to get a couple of pictures before we came back in. We went and sat back down and I decided to go to the bathroom.
On my way out of the bathroom, the bartender and a few of the wait staff stopped me to congratulate me. I got back to the table and Dan said that a few came over to him while I was gone and congratulated him too, wanted to know how it went and if I had said yes and stuff.
They brought out dessert and the announcer started announcing everyone on the boat who was celebrating an anniversary. Dan told me that while I was gone they had asked him if he wanted us announced and he said he'd have to ask me. So I signaled our waitress and asked if we could be announced as well. The whole boat gave their collective "ooh's and aah's" and clapped for us.
Then we were starting to near the harbour and the guitar player on board started playing Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling In Love" so we got up to dance with some of the anniversary couples. The bay was still rough though, so it was pitching and heaving pretty badly up at the front of the boat, so we and the other couples lasted about half the song before we had to sit back down again. It was still really nice that we got to dance though.
We pulled into port and got off the boat and bought a copy of the picture they had taken before we got on the boat. Then we went back to the car and I gave him the card and gift card I bought for him. We stayed outside a little longer looking out over the lake and at the stars until another boat started to dock and soaked us, so we decided to go back to the hotel at this point.
We stayed up late talking Saturday night then crashed and fell asleep after all the excitement for the day was over.
We got up early again on Sunday and headed out because we had another long day ahead of us still telling all of our family. We went to Denny's again for breakfast while our pictures 1-hour developed at Wal-Mart. Then we got on the highway and headed back towards home. We stopped first at Dan's parents' house and only Dan's mom was home. So she knew it was coming and just wanted to see my hand. She hugged me for the first time ever and she was so happy. It was really nice.
Then we headed out to Dan's grandparents' house and told them. They had to keep reminding themselves that we aren't 16 anymore and that we really are old enough for this!!
Then we went to see my parents. I was so nervous and shaking. When we got there they were out on the back porch around the pool. We walked out and they were asking us how our weekend was and noticing that we'd bought new sandals and I was about to throw up with anticipation, so all I could manage to do was thrust my hand out in front of my mom. She was speechless and just started to cry and laugh and hug me. The neighbour was also outside and was looking at us like we were nuts, so she called over to him and he congratulated us and it was nice. They're so happy for us!
They took us out to dinner to celebrate and my brother, Jody, called me on my cell phone while we were waiting for dinner because I'd tried to call him before we left for dinner. I told him and he was in like total shock. Really excited. I talked to him on the phone for another hour after I got home.
I think I've called everyone now that I'm going to call directly. Word will spread from there. There are a few people I left messages with and who are going to call me back, but I'm done with the phone for now I think.
Starting to calm down. Hope I can get some sleep tonight! Still people returning my calls here and there.
Here are all the pictures now! :) )

I'm now fresh from the bath and smelling of Chammomile. Thanks both in part to my tea and my Chammomile bath gel that my mom got me for Christmas.
Getting closer to successfuly completing my mission. Off to lounge in bed with my book and the rest of my tea.
G'night all, what a perfect Friday.
mrs_ladybird: (Default)
I took my parents out to Tucker's Marketplace for dinner and ate sufficiently too much. I think that is a requirement of going to a buffet though. I had a nice evening out with them, we talked about normal things that weren't Jody and actually involved me. His name only came up once in conversation and even then it was just in passing, we didn't dwell on him. It was an altoghether pleasant eventing.
Now my mission, should I choose to accept it, is to get a good night's sleep. I'm going to actively pursue this mission as mentioned in a previous journal entry.
[livejournal.com profile] glitter_divine, no need to get the rest of the team involved in this one though. I think I can manage it single-handedly.
This LJ entry will self destruct in 3...2...1...

Dan and I have this sort of "arrangement" where he comes over every Friday night and stays the weekend. I think I may have mentioned this once before.
With his car in the shop now though, he has no way to get here this weekend, so I have to go and pick him up. He has some stuff his parents want him to do at home on Friday night, so I'm going to wait until Saturday morning to go and get him.
I'm amazed at how much I'm looking forward to my Friday night alone. Not that I don't like it when he comes here or anything, I'll miss spending time with him...but I've also missed spending time with myself. I can do whatever I want this week, go out for dinner with my parents or something...go to bed when I want and sleep in Saturday morning. Just like I used to. It's more the feeling that I'm looking forward to, reminds me of when I was in high school and we didn't get to see eachother until Saturday.
It's the little things in life. :)

I think one of the best parts about Friday's is when you reach over to stop the alarm from sounding and you get to turn it off instead of merely re-setting it. That always puts a smile on my face. :)

The weekend is never long enough.
That's all I have to say.

Okay...so maybe I'll let Thursday off the hook this time, it wasn't as bad as it promised to be. The reports didn't burn me this week like they have in the past. Damn thee reports...damn thee!
Friday is still pending judgement though, so I'll air on the side of hating it for now just to be safe. Don't want to get burned. Not good on a Friday, especially this Friday.

As far as I know the weather outside still sucks right now. Haven't been out there since 7:30 this morning though, so I wouldn't know for sure. The smokers are complaining and in a bad mood though, so I'll assume the worst.

Plans for the weekend look good though, so they will make up for any evil that Friday may try and cast on me...assuming that I make it through the day.
Enough rants for now, lunch is almost over.
